Default Help! Car Shaking

So today when I left my buddy's house, my car was shaking more than has ever before. I had the same problem a few months ago while I would accelerate, and the problem was solved replacing the driver side cv axle. Just the past month or so, while I would be driving, at any speed, noticeably from 45mph and up, the steering wheel would shake; like it did when the problem was the cv axle. Of course when I would let the car coast, it wouldn't shake at all. I had my mechanic drive it today, and after, we popped the hood and could tell the rubber inserting on the motor mounts were shot. I replaced them thinking that was the issue. Drove it after, and the same problem existed. Idk why, I had not hit a pothole today, and after leaving my buddies, it was just unbearable to drive. The entire car from 20mph and up would shake, and I mean entire. I don't see how this could be the passenger side cv axle making the whole car bobble like it's doing so. It's only under acceleration of course. I just put these new rims on not even a month ago. The outer tie-rods, struts, springs, and alignment have all been done in the past 6 months. Hopefully it's just the axle, but any advice before I start replacing things would be awesome! Thanks.

Possibly the passengers axle. I just posted a thread the other day because I'm having the same issue. Mine goes away once I let off the gas. I'm going to be replacing both axles tomorrow. I hope the axle is all that is giving you issues. Nice looking Monte tho, love those rims

I think that's the best bet for the both of us. I will be replacing it next Saturday if no other opinions come along, because I hate not being able to drive it. So whoever gets them replaced first, if I do, I for sure will update this with the outcome! Thanks, they would look sick on your car as well.

It was definitely the cv axle. Thank god. Here's how bad it was.

Thanks! I hope it does for you as well. I would be almost sure as you are so, that that is your problem too. Not to mention, I don't think they upgrade the 3800 s/c you have from the stock one's on my 3800 n/a. Also, the added power you have going with your mods. If so, it has to be that. Have you considered instead of putting on the other one's you have, to the zzp stage 2 cv axle's? I'm sure it would do you much better than stock replacements, and to avoid replacing them again 30k miles from now if they go again.

Actually, scratch that idea. I guess the 4t65e hd tranny's already come with different hd axles. =P I didn't realize how much the stage 2's were anyways, ha.

My car was n/a originally so I don't have the HD dif, passenger axle, etc. like the supercharged 3800s. I've considered ZZPs but the price is way too much for me. I'd rather replace with the O'rielly Auto Parts that I already purchased. They have a lifetime warranty unlike ZZPs. I just need to get access to an impact! I'm assuming there's no way I can get the axle nut off without it. Maybe a 10 foot breaker bar

Yeah I don't have any of the HD stuff. May upgrade to it someday if I have extra cash I can throw at the swap lol.
