Default HELP with brake conversion

Hey everybody I'm currently upgrading my brakes on my 03 Monte ss to a set of 2002 C5 corvette Z06 brakes for the front. Im having a problem with the abutment brakets they are rubbing the rotor. I know other member on here have done this upgrade and Im looking for some help with this issue. More than likely I was sold the wrong brackets but Im jsut wondering if anybody else had an issue like this on this upgrade

When I did the upgrade on my Intimidator SS I bought the calipers and brackets as a unit, if I remember right. Yours were separate? Silverbullitt did the upgrade you are doing.

My brackets are 2002 Z06 I'm pretty sure I need the F body brackets. I did a search for this and there is a DYI on the forum and it says I need the F body brackets

what he said^^^^

if you buy the refurbished one from ebay or auto shop you will run into problems like the bleeder screws are not drilled out right thread, bracket hole not line up and other problems. and yes like wayne said should try to buy everything as a same unit. i drilled and tap mine that's the best way to do it. can you take some pic?

alright thanks for the help everybody. Everything is threading together fine that not a problem. The abutment bracket is hitting the spindel. We ground it down to clear the spindel so the holes will line up. All holes line up the problem is that now the abutment bracket is sitting on the rotor. All parts are GM bought no refurbished parts. The DYI I found on the forum says I need the brackets off of an F body. I know the problem is the bracket I just need to know what bracket to exchange these ones for. I have a pic to show where the bracket is hitting but i dont know how to post it in this thread now
