My car runs rough at idle and when ur stoped at a light and u let up on the break and not really pushing the gas but just rolling it shakes and feels like its choking what can be wrong with the car? I would check the fuel filter but I was told it was in the gas tank and would be really expensive to check and change.........thanks _sam_

 

have you tried a tune up on your car? spark plugs, plug wires, etc? id start there. good luck with the diagnostic!

48316 miles on the car and yes I had done a full engine tune up when I got the car at 13000 miles

does it feel like that when accelerating too? does it feel like it's low on power?

wonder if an engine mount is maybe bad allowing it to rock?

 

No acceleration is fine just when like I described

 

i would check out the mass air flow meeter

 

When you are driving, does your car hesitate? Let up off the gas for a second and get back on the gas. We noticed this with my husbands 02 Monte SS. It felt like the transmission was slipping. It got bad and the computer tossed up an error code. If it is your mass air flow, dont cheap out on the part. It might run $150 but get a brand new one and not a rebuilt one.
