7th Gen ('06-'07): heat not working
Hey yall i own a 2007 Chevy monte Carlo 3.5l lt edition
ive had her in the shop multiple time for heat issues and they tell me its my passenger temp sensor well IVE put two in and absolute no progress and its flustering because the line of work im in i need heat especially between fire fighting and being a heavy mechanic. Ive flushed the radiator, new thermostat, new sensors and new heater core.
Any and all help is welcomed.
Also im 18 from Virginia.
Im a heavy diesel mechanic.

Are the heater core hoses getting hot when the engine is warmed up? That would be my first place to start - to see if the core itself is getting heat to it.
If they're hot, but its blowing cold, then I'd look into the blend door actuators to see if they're moving when you command heat. They're common to have break, but usually you'd get a ticking noise when they do that would immediately alert you to the problem. Perhaps they broke completely and are stuck on cold.
