Default Gen 1 Instrument panel/door Chrome/silver trim needs restoring

The chrome/silver trim around the instrument panel and doors is worn, anyone had success restoring it?

Default How's Your Monte > Pictures Please

Have you consulted with a good painter or artist that could airbrush with chrome paint ? Just a thought. Is the trim plastic ?

Thanks for the reply. Yes it's plastic. Looking for options. The plastic pin stripping tape works on the straight portions but not on the corners. I can spray it but it can be messy, masking and taping is time consuming but this might be the route I'll have to take.

A good pin striper could do it...I'd check your area for one at a few custom body or bike shops & see what it would cost.

Just something to consider...Good Luck...

I've seen chrome spray paint, is it available in liquid form?

Still working on the dash trim. Tried chrome paint, silver sharpe which does a surprisingly good job. Giving that a break and changed mouldings around the car instead.

Not a perfect fix but it work ok, chrome nail polish. It even came with its own little brush.
