Gauge lights out?!?
So here is the deal, some of my gauge lights go out periodically. I simple thump on the dash usually brings them back to ilumination, it is extremely annoying though. Has anyone else had this problem, I was going to take the gauge cluster apart but thought twice about it after looking at it. It is mainly the tach that has the problem. I noticed it after I installed my new CD player, I think that is just coincodence and it is not because of the aftermarket CD player but I have been wrong before. Any help would be awesome.
is it only ur gauge lights i have this problem with all my interior lights, and it happened after i installed my radio too. i found out my light switch shorted out really bad, and some of the other guys here light switch went bad also. they said they changed the switch out and it worked fine, i havent tried this but they say it worked
Which light switch are you guys talking about? I knew of one other light that went out, on the climate control. But now I noticed that the seat warmer switch light is also out. So this does have to do with me installing the aftermarket stereo then?
im talking about the headlight switch they seem to go bad often from what i been reading here. when i installed my radio i used a hardness but when i was trying to find the problem i noticed that the dimmer wire from the headlight switch all the way to the radio was fried, and it kept shorting out my tailights. after i replaced it with one from the junkyard i noticed that the switch was fried on the same leg as mine but i tried it anyway didnt work. so i went out a bought a new and it works fine now
thatrealcreole****, I'm having the same problem. Where did you pick up a new at? How much? and do you happen to have the part #?
