Default Fuel tank pressure sensor / "evap sensor"

Are these the same thing and where is it located on a 2003 SS? I've got a P0440 code and the cap is good. I bought this part after hearing from a former GM mech that they go bad often and throw this code. I'm hoping it's not inside the fuel tank but reachable from from the outside. Any help on locating this thing?

I would imagine it's most likely the EVAP Solenoid if the gas cap didn't fix it.

It's located behind your throttle body.

Thanks for the reply, I haven't had a chance to look yet. Is this the solenoid of which you speak?

Thanks for the help everyone. Well I found the bugger, right on top of the tank. I'm SO happy to have that access panel, I'd hate to have to drop the tank for any reason, especially for such a little thing. I'll wait a couple days just to see if the light resets itself, then probably have to do it manually to see if that was the problem.
