False Positive or ???
For the last 3 or 4 days I have been getting alerts from my A/V saying it has blocked an intrusion attempt by Sibhost Exploit Kit Website. This only happens on IB websites. I suppose it could just be bad coding in one of the ads on the forum(s), but any time I get a HIGH RISK thread reported by my A/V on a forum I like to give a heads-up so others are aware of the potential threat. It may be a false positive, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

I'll ask IB about it. It could have something to do with the ads supplied by google ads. But I suspect it's could be one of the quirks with Internet Brands' forum software. For example: Many people don't get their confirmation email from MCF because some internet service providers mistakenly think the forum's emails are spam, and delete them before you even see it. My ISP does that too.
I emailed Nolan at Internet Brands about this. And included a link to this thread. I really don't think you have anything to worry about though. I will let you know what he finds out.

I'm running their internet security suite and get it at least once every time I go to an IB site. More than likely it's bad (redirect) code in one of the ads, but like I said I'd rather mention it rather then have a bunch of people's computers infected.

Keane its good to know you havent had any issues...
Its been my experience that Nortons tends to miss a lot of bugs, backdoor trojans etc... and then one day you end up with a blue screen...Saying what the heck happened... Maybe Nortons has improved over the years...But I havent used there antivirus in over 10 yrs...
Ive had the pleasure of knowing a few people in the computer tech field that have enlightened me...
I just cant see paying money year after year when theres so many free full version programs out there That really work....or Paying 1 time for a program that just keep on giveing... That is also used in the commercial/Professionals in Industry!
Like MalwareBytes Pro...
Good Luck also in MOTM!

Norton, McAfee, and any antivirus you pay for is not worth it. I get heavily infected computers with (insert ANY antivirus here) all the time. Don't waste your money, use Microsoft Security Essentials or AVG free or Avast free. Not to mention Norton slows your computer down a LOT. All in all, use what you want, just throwing something out there from the "computer technician" viewpoint.
