Remember HP Tuners, and how it was an extra $200?

:P Sorry I just had to yank your chain.

I never thought performance chips were the answer, and this if anything is going to be an expensive lesson, but hopefully save a lot of people the trouble. I am glad to hear that you are getting everything fixed, and it is my knowledge that the only way to reset it, is to have it re-flashed back to factory settings. No tricks like pumping brakes (honestly that would suck if it would easily go back to default IMO)

But keep us updated.

I had that coming all the way from PA...LOL.

Yea, expensive lesson to learn, but at least i'm getting it done under warrenty for $200 bucks...and they are fixing other stuff to, so my $200 was not completly wasted. My rear window defroster is getting fixed (has not worked for 6 months, and I was waiting for something more major to bring it in for...I did not want to pay $200 just to fix the defroster, if nothing would happen, I would have had it fixed when I take it in at 99,900 miles for a complete one last warrenty check...) but anyway, thats being fixed. Also, my tranny was leaking about 1 drop per day (more of a weep than a leak) from one of the cooler lines. I was also waiting for something more major or the 99,900 for that...but they are replacing my tranny cooler lines to fix that problem too...so EVERYTHING will be 100% perfect when I get it back, and all fixed for $200 bucks. And don't think i'm not going to TRY my very best to make Jet eat the $200...Burea of Automotive repair, burea of consumer affairs, here I come....LOL

Oh and by the way...I'm going back to my CAI and Exhaust and i'll just be happy with that...LOL...

oh i knew not to buy it that's for sure, haha!! after your other posts that is... i just didn't know JET made a chip for our rides that's all. sounds like a good lesson learned the hard way for you and the easy way for us others w/ the 3.5L i spose it could always be worse right? time to look into an hp tuner so you can be the guinea pig for that too, lol!!

Glad to hear you are getting repaired. I am curious to see if you get your money out of Jet as I have been on both ends of this situation and the customer almost always gets screwed in the end. I am hoping it works out for you.

On a side not I ordered a TBI spacer from autoanything the other day and it was the Jet model. I got it because it is one of the few that doesn't whistle. I am glad it is a mechanical part so I should be ok, but will watch it closely and that is the last Jet product I or anybody I know will ever buy.

I'm glad you are getting everything back to working order. Ya, you have to be really careful when you start messing with the cars brain.

Michael, Just wanted to let you know I'm not buying anything from Jet either... and I haven't even started modding out my baby. For what they did to you?? They're lucky it wasn't ME on the phone. I'd bet you were pretty heated tho. I sure hope you let us know when you get your baby back. Hard knock lesson to learn for sure... but your pockets really shouldn't be leaking money like that...
