Dummy O2 sensor?
New to the forum But But I like what I have seen.
I have a 2001 monte ls with 80,000 miles, and not long after i bought it I like everyone else had the engine light wave at me. I had it scaned and came up with a bad converter. After a close look I saw the factory one had been replace with an aftermarket. So I had it chopped off and cleared the code. About 50 miles later the lights back on. This car has 2 O2 sensors one in front and one behind the convertor. I have heard the talk about "Dummy O2 Sensors" and my question is do they make them and if so do they work? And if the answer to both of my questions are yes, WHERE CAN I PURCHASE ONE? This light is drivin me crazy. But any comments will help Thanks.
