Hello again to all,
i own a 97 monte carlo LS 3.1 V6 and the service engine light has come one, now this has happened from times before and i know the codes deal mostly with emssions but ... could a leaking gas tank trip a code?? or is it possible?

My cd player in the car sometimes plays the cd's and then most of the time spits them out saying ERR ... i have cleaned the eye but i dunno what could be wrong ?? any ideas thanks

A leaking fuel tank can cause DTC's to set. DTC P0440 or DTC P0442.
Delco does not recommend cleaning their CD players because of the possibility of scratching the laser lens. One thing that will give you the "ERR" message is too much moisture in the player.

 

Is there any possible way to get that mositure out of there??

 

Take the cd player out and put it in the house/closetwith a dehumidifier. My Blazer had the same problem, the ERR code went away, but someone stole my CD case. =<

 

Thank U Intimatator i must try that out because my window has a crack in it like it does not go up the whole way been like that the guy said for a year so maybe that caused moisture to get in thank YOU =)
