Default driver side marker light

hey guys, im back and the Monte has been problem free(SO FAR), i turned my headlights on and the left arrow light is on. now usually that indicates a bulb is out. i changed the 2 front parking lights and i noticed that the drivers side parking light is dim compared to the passenger. as i walk back around the car i see that the driver side marker light is out. i went to Auto Zone and got new bulbs, plugged it in and it still doesnt work. any suggestions on the problem? it looks like the parking and marker lights run from the same wires.

Check the sockets for corrosion and clean, if necessary. Had to do that to my 84.
