Well my rotors are gettin bad on my monte and it's time to replace them. Who here has drilled and slotted rotors? where did you get them? since i'm replacing the rotors i might as well get some cool looking ones and some better quality too lol.

I got an entire set of rotors and pads on eBay last summer for like $185 front and backs. They went on super easy and work really good. I have only had them for about 9 months but not issues. They are a tad louder than I would've expected but still great. (They make a cool noise when you brake from the holes being in them )

 

If you want some nice ones I agree you can go to eBay. Look to buy the fully Zinc coated ones. Centric or Stop Tech will be the better quality ones. This will be a pretty easy project and one well worth the time. Nothing like new brakes....Good luck

If i were you, I would look into cryo treated rotors....they do not warp and last a long time...you can see them on the tire rack web site....a little more expensive but last a lot longer then drilled and slotted rotors.

 

I'm running the brakemotives stuff from ebay. For the price they weren't bad. But fitment in the rear was an issue, and when they are hot I don't enjoy them very much (think emergency highway speed braking) but they are good enough for now.

We'll see if they pass my yearly inspection on Fri

I don't think you can go wrong with some quality blanks.

 

Keep in mind, a lot of replacement rotors can be thinner in spots than stock, and 'cool looking' drilled rotors can have cracking problems and such.

I totally disagree- buying any kind of performance parts on ebay is a bad choice IMO.

Ebay has a lot of cheap overseas knockoffs, and brakes aren't a place you want to save money for a cool look. Members on mymonte that bought R1 concepts drilled/slotted rotors have had cracking issues between the drilled holes, and I've seen similar scenarios on other car forums I've been on with ebay drilled rotors from other brands.

I have messed with eBay for a while now and I have to agree with bumpin... Brakes and Rotors are some things I WONT buy on eBay for his stated reason's... Spend the extra couple of bucks and get them some where you know they are the real deal... I mean I guess with good research and some luck you could save some money and find some on eBay but it's just a risk you have to be willing to take... Good Luck

 

Agree with above, while I'm sure there are some quality ones on eBay the one place I didn't want to get cheap was brakes. Bought a set of EBC dimpled and slotted rotors from Brake Pads, Brake Rotors - Best Deals on EBC, Brembo Kits and more | Place for Brakes had them installed back early in the year. Best move I made, have not been disappointed from the minute I backed the car out of the garage. They had a heck of a sale on them when I bought mine, appears that now they don't have that sale but cheap and brakes are two words I don't like to see together. Would rather wait if at all possible then settle.
