door sagging

Default door sagging

the pin that holds the door up does not have a retainer ,it's crimped.DO
I have to take the hinge off and cut out the old pin?How do I crimp the new pin?

what year is your monte?

as for the tryng to fix your old hinge, you are probibly better off calling your local salvage yard(s) and see if they have any in stock... remove & replace your old one, quicker, easyer, and quite often cheeper

door sagging
I have a '85 monte ,yhat the driver's door is sagging. When the door is closed the latch hits the pin. How can I adjust the door?

ok, its an '85... still pretty common in salvage yards, not as many after that big scrap metal boom due to the cars being so heavy..... he should still look for a used hinge, or he could google serch a door hinge rebuild kit..... that should come with the pin & any other peices that could get worn out, & it should be pre crimped....

is d have to agree with the remove and replace like ryan said...check out dixie montecarlo..if im not mistaken they are pritty decently prices

they usually have the kits in the help section at the part store.

I have the new pin and bushing for my '85 .The new pin needs to be crimped also?
