door sagging

Default door sagging

I have a '85 monte ,yhat the driver's door is sagging. When the door is closed the latch hits the pin. How can I adjust the door?

you're gonna have to replace the pins and rollers in the hinges. they make a kit to do this. this is a common problem for these cars.

but if its beyond repair with those new hinges would need to be put in.. glad they r still the bolt on bolt of style

I ordered the pins and bushings.The pin looks like it's held on by retainer clip,do I prop-up the door and than pull this pin out?

yep, support that door. I use a floorjack with a towel on top of it so I don't scratch nothin'. do 1 pin at a time.

Yep...my passenger side door is experiencing this as well.

Not a bad price, either! Thanks for the links and tips...

Preventative maintenance helps.

The next time you get stopped for a traffic violation, don't allow fat cops to rest their flabby arms and lean half of their entire weight on the top of your open door.

Or anyone else for that matter.

A few weeks ago, I caught a mechanic who was hooked into my BCM sitting on his ample butt on the shop floor and leaning his back against my wide open driver's door while reading the scanner.

I could hear creaking and it wasn't the scanner or his bones making that noise.
