Default Directionals Don't Work

Both the directionals and four ways do not work on a 2004 MC. Does anyone know where the flasher is located?

Thanks

Jim:

The lights work once in a while so that rules out the fuses. The lights go on and stay on but don't blink.

On my old '02 impala I had the same thing happen. On the Impala the 4 way flasher unit also worked with the turn signals. I got it going by hitting the flasher switch several times. I did end up swapping the unit out, it was pretty straight forward, I had to remove the front of the dash and the unit was right there.

I just got my '02 Monte Carlo and I'm not sure if it's the same here but I thought I would pass that along.

Yeah it's the same in the MC. Mine does the same thing. The turn signals work about 50% of the time, if I hit the hazard button on/off, they will work again. I've read the flasher is actually part of the hazard switch on the dash. Meaning the whole dash face has to come off to replace it... One day I will replace the flasher...
