Default dic temp

On the driver information center (dic) the outside temp and compass are on the same screen my question is where does the temp reading come from the compass is right but the temp is giving me a bad reading. Sometimes it even has the ice light illuminated, I live in south florida so there is no possible way that it ever gets that cold here. So where is the sensor if there is one that it gets its reading from. Thanks

I have the temp/compas display on my mirror, and I have never had that problem. I have no idea where to find the thermometer that feeds your DIC though. Try going to like...kragen or pepboys and thumbing through one of their Chiltons to see if you can find it. I do that sometimes. haha.

If not mistaken, the sensor is located under the hood close to the latch. Right above the K&N sticker on my car in the pics below.

That's actually the front impact sensor for the airbag system... I wouldn't suggest messing with it...

It's actually behind the grill on the passenger side radiator support

Sensor is GM Part # 10248414

It's a good thing I never jacked with it huh... lol

Seems like an odd place for an impact sensor.

BTW: You have some very nice products on your web, we have sent a few people there in the past....
