Default Cruise Control Not Functioning

Hey Everyone!

1996 Z34 with 46K miles, cruise control does not work. The only place I knew where to start was checking the 15amp fuse in the passenger side interior fuse box (visually looked fine but I did not replace it). Any other ideas on what may be causing this?

Thank you!

Cruise control can be a crazy animal to work on.
Sometimes it is the Fuse and sometimes not.
You will need to check the switch on the steering column.
Maybe a wire is bad on the control unit on the column.
Some tell tail signs of that, are the lever will turn hard when you flip it up or down.
Now open the hood and check the Cruise unit and see if all the connections are hooked up.
With only 47K on the ride it should be something simple you would think.
I am not at home right now so I am not able to check the repair manual that I have.
Hope that helps.

Thanks #3, going to check that out this weekend and change the fuse anyways. I occasionally drive back to Michigan (once a month) and the 300 mile trip is much better with that working
