Cranks but no start when warm
Sometimes when the weather is warm (Sunday was 84) and I shut off my '03 Monte SS for a short period of time (such as at the gas station) it will crank but will not start. If I let it set for a few minutes it will then start ok. The temperature gauge reads normal. There are no error codes. Any ideas???

What have you tried? There is a similar thread already on this forum:

My situation is a little different than described in the other thread. During the cooler months, the Monte starts fine when the engine is hot or cold. It is when the weather get hot that the Monte cranks but might not start when it has been driven a while. It's almost like a vapor lock condition.

When that happens, unplug your MAF sensor (don't remove it, just unplug) and see if it starts then. It's safe to do so for short periods of time and will determine if your MAF sensor is the culprit. I've had mine fail on me twice. One test I did by mistake was to tap it gently with the handle of a screwdriver while the engine was running and it stalled the engine right away. It only failed on its own when the engine was at operating temp and then, would not restart until I let it cool down. Try that too, very easy.
