6th Gen ('00-'05): Car shuts off when braking.
So a few months ago my car (05 ss) started acting a little funny. I notice white smoke coming out of the exhaust which smelt like raw fuel. It would also shut off when coming to a stop at either a stop sign or red light. When coming to a stop the RPMs would drop to about anywhere from 300-500. As well as just starting it up sometimes the RPMs would randomly fluctuate anywhere from 500-1500 very rapidly while just idling. I took it too a buddy and his computer said it was a bad cylinder. Cylinder 2 was misfiring. So he replaced it. I picked the car up, drove it a good ways home with no problems and he cleared out the check engine light as well. The next day I get about half way to work and notice the same problems happening again. Took it up to the autozone just to see what their computer would say and it said that Cylinder 1 was misfiring this time. Does anybody have any Idea what this sounds like or what it could be? Need any other information just ask and I will try to provide but I havent had my car for about a month and a half so all of this was based off of memory. Pretty sure I covered everything though. Thanks.
