Default Can't Reset (Low Tire Pressure) Warning

I put some air in my tires, and tried both ways to turn off the indicator per the manual. Turning lights from off to on three times did not work, and when I scrolled through the "Settings" in the radio, there was no option for tire pressure like there should be.

Do you have the TPMS? (tire pressure monitor system)

Yes, and in the owner's manual it tells me how to recalibrate it, but the doing it via the headlight **** doesn't work, and there is no "Tire Mon" option under settings.

is it an 06 or 07 monte? Cause the settings would be in the buttons by the dash. not the radio.

I think at least.

Try the owners manual thing again. I've done this and it works, but do not pull the headlight **** out all the way. Key to the on position, foot on the brake, put the headlight **** out 1 notch only (running lights - not all the way to headlights) - in and out 3 three times. You should hear a tone. If it don't work, somethings not right or you don't have an '04 like me

I've always been able to reset it though the radio. My light went on yesterday and I had a tire low - filled it with air and went in the car and reset the light though the radio settings.

When you did the light switch fix, did you hear a chime or anything? If not I say do it again until ya do to ensure ya did it right...

I know the stock radio on my 2000 had the reset option as well, but it's been a while since I had the stock unit so I don't recall the exact way to do it

If nothing else works, perhaps disconnect the battery for a bit see if that clears it

Last but not least, might be one of the sensors went bad, I heard they go pretty frequent although I never had an issue

Best of luck, keep us updated if ya get it figured out

Joe

Default low tire......

........must be sore tire week this week ?
I woke up this morning to go to Church and saw that my right rear tire was almost flat.
I think, I ran over something two weeks ago and very slow leak has developed. So I'll have to reset my message as well......
