i have an 02 ss n/a. i drove home this morning before dawn about 30 miles. an hr later when i get back in to go to work my traction is off and the abs light is on as well. the dash was lit up like an xmas tree. so apparently the harness is known to crap out so thats what i had my fingers crossed on all day. like 28 bucks per side. so i take it to one of my customers to have the car scanned for the failing side. i get code c1218. i've read into it quite a bit and it seems any number of problems could be going on. i am looking for anyone who has successfully treated this ailment. i sell parts and i dont even think the pump or abs module is sumthing i can get.. please help guys. thanks

 

so i called my guy at chevy and he says u can get hydraulic pump for 1000 and abs computer for 600. ouch. im thinking of forgetting abs. will check the yards. but if no luck i think no fix.

 

im not sure on that specific code. but it might be your wheel hub which if you get a OEM one from the dealer would probably cost 100$ max. i had this same issue but i dont know why my code was...

 

nah c1218 is diff from a abs sensor code, thanks tho
