I can't figure out why my A/C is blowing hot air. The compressor is working because I can tell when the clutch kicks in and hear the change in the motor. I tried putting some freon in it and it did take some(about 1/2 a 1 pound can) but no change at all. I do have a bad fresh air actuator that I haven't replaced yet but do have the new part. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Are you sure the actuator(s) for the temperature control aren't also broken? They're all the same garbage design - could be stuck on hot.

If the actuators are good - how are the AC pressures?

 

I actually do not have any gauges to check the pressures. I have another question, if it could possibly be a different actuator, do you recommend that I change the (3) that are the same and the other one that looks different from the others?
