MIL(Message Indicator Lamp, I think) is what the comp calls your check engine light. VAF I can't think of right odd the top of my head though

well aint this something, i got bored and decided to fool with the car, i put the old MAF sensor back on and it still did the same thing, took the MAF out of line completely and it did exactly the same thing, put the new one on and still the same thing, so i belive i have some sort of wiring problem, do yall concur?

start following the wires back from that plug to make sure they are not crimped or broke ALSO check the connection there and make sure it is real clean sometimes they will corrode in there and cause it to break the connection also.

if you can affored it you might call around and see if you can find a automotive wireing specilst. we had one we used to work with on my old monte closely. he found and fixed chit i could never find. he found it and would rebuild the harness as he went threw it.

i shortly after this decided to get a whole new harness he put it in for me for next to nothing becuse he liked workign on clean cars LOL

well might as well afford it, seeing as how i cant afford to let the car sit in the driveway. sold the camaro cos it lived in the shop so i gotta have this one fixed or i cant get to work. i just think its kewl that u can unhook the sensor and nothing happens.

but i do know ive talked to "specialists" and they said MAF then it was TPS then it was IACV so ive changed em all and i still got problems and i dunno at least i knwo after this prob is fixed everything will be up to date under the hood and i do mean EVERYTHING
