Post brake problem 98' LS

my girfirend has a 98' monte carlo ls that has an intermitent brake problem that seems to be getting worse. the brake pedal goes to the floor quite often. sometimes it seems to have normal pressure. i was told this could be the rear drum brake cylinders but i haven't ever owned a car with rear drums so i have no idea if this could be???
any thoughts at all would help!
thx
happy easter!

Mine 98 LS did the exact same thing. If I was on the brakes going down a hill, they would slowly fade out. Sometimes only the right front would grab. I rolled smoke off of that brake a couple of times.

Where do you live? It may be the same monte.

Hi `Eric,
Sounds Dangerous to me.
I suggest `if you don't have the knowledge to repair, I would
take it to a mechanic for a free inspection & estimate.~>ASAP

It couldl be any prob with your brake system components,
but it is 2 difficult to pinpoint your problems from just
your posted words.

I just know, I would not drive `it, until it's fixed.
It won't fix itself : (

Wish you Good Luck, and Safe Stops
in your g/f's Monte Carlo.
