Battery wont stay charged
I just replaced battery and alternator on my 02 monte ss. It will start when jumped or when battery is charged but after it runs a few minutes the battery gauge goes to the red zone and car dies. What is it I'm broke down at my work and it's cold out wife has to work I'm stuck need help with this one.ty

Sounds like the alternator still isn't charging. If possible check the big red wire going to the back of the alternator and confirm it has battery voltage 12-12.5 volts when shut off. The car should stay running with a good alternator after you jump start the car. Good luck

Alternator
So I've been trying to fix car 02 monte ss.i replaced battery and alternator had them both tested and they are good.while trouble shooting with the key on. I got no voltage from the red wire on alternator connector to ground. Any help would be highly appreciated ty. This is my car daily driver.

Check these links for a similar issue and it may solve the problem
If you have a fully charged battery it will show 13.7 to 14.7 full up. A bad alternator will kill a new battery have them checked at a different place that where you bought it. I would say the alternator was probably defective and it could have caused the battery to go bad now too. These things don't even work out of the box. good luck.
