Default Battery dead

Any opinions? Went to start the 06 SS after maybe a week of not driving it. No instrument lights, chimes and no power at all to the starter. I put the battery on charge until charger said it was full. Still no power on anything in the car. Voltage test on the battery by multimeter was about 2-3 volts. Vehicle wouldn't respond to a jump box either. Before this happened, there was a noise that sounded like it was coming from the dash area while driving. It sounded like some sort of electrical device turning off and on. The sound was maybe every 3-4 minutes and would last about 3-4 seconds. Battery was only a few months old.

Disconnect the battery from the car and then try charging. If it still does not charge up, you have a bad battery. Not uncommon to get a bad one.

X2. Recharge the battery, then load test it all completely off the car. If the battery is that new, it should still be under warranty.

I had a poor ground in the cab, on the aluminum under dash framing, causing the electrical system to continually look for a ground and run the battery down and kill it. Had two batteries go bad because of the poor ground, in five months

Well I had to have it towed to the dealership and they charged the battery, let the vehicle sit for a few days and it started up, drawing the proper power from the battery. No problems since. And the noise behind the dash is gone. Weird.
