(Another) 3.1 Overheating
I would say it's safe to assume the headgasket, since notoriously those engines + headgaskets have problems haha
I threw a lot of money at my Lumina before I found out it was the head gasket.

I'm agreeing more and more... The only thing that makes sense is air/combustion gasses getting introduced into the cooling system and the only way I know that could happen is thru the heads. I'm getting this done this week. The mechanic has a set of 3.1 heads that he has been trying to get rid of and will give them to me for free so even if the ones on this car are cracked I'm only out the cost for resurfacing which is a pretty damn good deal. Already picked up the Fel-Pro gasket set and head bolts. I am going to make this car my bitch and drive it until the wheels fall off, then I'll get new wheels.
Although if this car still overheats after doing the head gaskets I am probably just going to set fire to it and drive it into a lake.

j/k, but i know how you feel. my last car was nothing but problem after problem. good luck!!
I'm afraid the parts would bring the curse along with them... There's a Catholic church down the road that I'm sure has a young priest and old priest that would do an exorcism for a small donation - maybe I'll try that before the fire/drowning...
the power of Christ compels you!
