98 monte... heat problems...

Default 98 monte... heat problems...

hi guys... new to the site.. have a 98 monte carlo and for some reason the heat wont come out the vents.. the heat works fine and itll come out the defrost and itll go thru the floor vents but it wont come out of the vents that point directly at you...

anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it?? any help would be greatly appreciated...

Your car uses a vacuum to control flaps that move the air to the directed spot, I would say it's not working for that certain setting.

hmm wierd. i can turn the **** to all the different settings, but no matter what i turn it to, the heat comes out of the same places. where is this vacuum located at? is this a difficult fix?

You'd have to remove the dash I believe, and just reconnect the vacuum hose it sounds like.

ill probably just say screw it then and wait til i get my ranger finished again before i take the time to do that.
