Talking 98 Monte Carlo Bumpers (Front&Rear)

My 98 is not in the best condition but i'm trying to get it back up and baddass. My main issues though, can someone explain to me how to remove the factory bumpers so i can install new ones (Custom ones from a body kit), as well as install the side skirts, like proper materials and such (and proper directions)

Anyone care to give me a little tutorial on this?

Hi `Eddie & Welcome to the MCF

Our teacher's & professor's of our MCF Body Shop College are on break, but hopefully one of them will return & give you lessons & help.

What Model 98 Monte do you have ?
What body kit do you have ?
Have you done any body work before ?
To you have tools to do the work ?
Do you have help ? or will you `be doing it alone ?
Do you have a lot of rust on your Monte ?

While you wait for HELP, please check out our MCF Search Engine and then your next assignment is to check `out the below links (Oh, there will be a test later >) I hope the below gives you some `infor > Good Luck

I was gonna do a mixed body kit. BKO Type-1 Body kit Front Bumper, Extreme Dimensions Racer Body Kits - Sideskirts, and Extreme Dimensions Racer Body Kits - Rear Lip with American Racing Perform Santa Cruz Gloss Blk W/ Mach. Lip 15x7, have it painted gun metal grey. And maybe but unlikely this
Supercharger Turbonator Stage 2 by Supercharger Performance Parts Don't wanna deal with that till i have alittle more experience though.

Don't waste your time with the "electric supercharger/turbonator" it's a waste.

To get off the bumpers, there are a lot of pop rivets. Pliers are your friends when it comes to bumper removal. There are also nuts that hold the front and rear bumpers, I think they're 10 or 11 mm. You won't need to remove the rear bumper to install that lip (which is actually made by Razzi), and the sides are Razzi also, all you need is to drill two holes (one on the front and one on the back, they screw in with the stock screws on the sides) and some double sided tape.

Enjoy!
