My 97 Z34 :
When I start the car cold it starts fine. After its warm and I try to start it , it will usually start to turnover and then stall. I have to start it again and it usually clicks for several seconds before starting up. Once it starts it will rev kinda high (2-3000) for maybe 10 seconds and then its fine.
also, and this has only happened twice, the car has stalled out on me with no warning.

I have had an intermittent service engine light come on. I dont have an OBD scanner (yet) and have not taken it anywhere to gwet a reading.
anyone have any idea what could be the problem?

 

What are your guages reading when you try to start it? Is your temp gauge normal, do you have an oil light on or anything? Have you had intake/head gaskets replaced on the motor? Take it to Auto Zone or any parts store that has an OBD II scanner and have them read the code. Come back and tell us the code and maybe someone can help.
