Hello, I have a 96 ls. I am fighting the cooling system. I replaced the thermostat and flushed the system. After that I noticed a leak by the thermos stat and heater hose. I know for sure they both are fine, my question is where could the coolant be coming from??

 

I'm not 100% sure it's like a 3800 thermostat, but if so, there's a gasket that goes around the edge of the thermostat and it has to be EXACTLY installed or it will leak.

 

Thanks. Come to find out it is the intake gasket itself.

 

Eh, at least you got it figured out. The intake gaskets aren't that hard to do, just gotta take out the rods and keep them in order. Best of luck.
