a 85 ls?
*raises eyebrow*

1985 Monte Carlo LS??? I'd like to see pics of that, since the LS model wasn't available until mid-year 1986.

The Sport Coupe (SC) model, with the "boxy" front end, was 1981-1986.

The Luxury Sport (LS) model, with the "euro"/"rounded" front end with composite headlamps, was 1986-1988 (with the 1988s being made in late 1987).

yeah i saw that too ! but to most people that dont have a monte carlo SS .they call it a LS even tho it's not (i have that problem around here anyways)

Exclamation engine swap HELP

hello I am a new user I need some help with my soon to be daily driver. I bought a 1985 monte carlo sc with a 4.3 TBI with a bad knock. i replacing it with a 1970 350 bored and stroked to bo a 383 that is to be carburated. I am using the factory electric pump in the tank. I have the motor in the car with the HEI distributor wired up with what i belive to be the right wire but when i turn the car over i have no spark and the fuel pump isnt running but im not really worried about the fuel problem at the moment I want to be able to put some spark to it first. If someone could help me out by sending a link to a wiring diagram or just explain what color wires to hook up to the wires on the distributor. Thnk you to anyone who can help me in anyway.

the best to know about the car is to start reading all over the forum.

As far as the 350 V8, Its a perfect fit.
