The 229 in the car is dead. Found a 4.3 with trans for a decent price. What's it going to take to make the 4.3 work? What will I have to do to be able to use tbi? Should I just save a little more and go with my original plan of buying a 350 crate engine? I want to be back in my Monte.

 

I am not sure what it would take to make the 4.3 work. If you are not far away from saving enough for the 350, that is probably the route I would take, but I am partial to the 350.

 

I found a better deal on a 350 today, complete engine carb, accessories, starter, for $750. Only has about 20k on it. Not sure if the headers it comes with will fit but I already have a pair that will.
