Nice Montes! I heard those 3.9s have some pretty good power for a v6!

Theyre alright, definitely better than my old 05 ls with the 3.4! unfortunately there is next to nothing in the way of power adders, so if i wanted to do anything, it all has to be custom :/ Currently though im just working on getting all the little annoyances out of the way (i.e Upper and Lower intake gaskets, wheel hubs, and most recently, a clunk coming from right underneath the drivers dash under acceleration?)

Yeah I havent seen much out there for them. Even the 5.3 is pretty limited for mods. I know that its very common for GMs intermediate to make an extremely annoying clunk. Its said that is mainly does it at slow speeds but I felt mine almost all the time when it was bad. Otherwise check mounts and suspension components (i.e control arm bushings, sway links, ball joints)

ha that was actually my plan for this evening after work, considering its about the only night I have free! i inspected the mounts and they seem to be fine, and the engine isnt trying to jump out of the bay, so its gotta be steering/suspension...sorry to hijack your post with my car annoyances lol

No worries, thats what forums are for! If you dont find anything maybe there is a thread somewhere on here that will help you out, and if there isnt I bet alot of people will try and help if you make a new one!

Is it the sun ? Or did your Monte get repainted ? Fender/door paint color don't match in this pic.
