Default 5w3- or 10w-30 ?

2003, 3.8. Manual says 10w-30, oil fill cap says 5w-30. I bought this car new, so it has the factory oil fill cap. Which weight should I use? Car gets stored in the winter.

For Wisconsin, use Mobil 1 0w-30 or 5w-30, or Mobil 1 Extended Performance 5w-30 and double your intervals between changes (but change the filters at 3-5K)

i use 10W 40 myself because my car has alot of miles on it.

the lower number before the W gives you a better cold start. if you were giong to be driving it in the wisconsin winters, i'd say use the 5W 20 or 5W 30, but 10W 30 should be good for spring/summer time use
