4t65e Transmission pressure control solenoid
As some people may know, I have been having some transmission issues lately with slipping and a long delay in between selecting gears. I talked to a guy from 60degreev6.com that was a tech of some sort for GM. He said my problem may be the pressure control solenoid. Im going to do a line pressure test on the transmission to verify that. Has anyone replaced the PCS on their 4T65e? Was it hard? What all was involved?

To perform a line pressure test you will need access to a Tech 2 scan tool. The Tech 2 controls the PC solenoid during the pressure test. To change the solenoid the trans. side cover must be removed to expose the valve body. To remove the side cover the left drive axle assembly must be removed and the engine/transmission & cradle assembly must be lowered on the left side to provide the clearance needed to remove the side cover. It is a very labor intensive project!
