Default 2007 LS TPMS sensor replacement success

hello all I just changed my TPMS sensor and tried to break the bead myself but failed to do so and settled on paying for the sensor I bought on ebay to be put in. The sensor had been failing on and off for about a year until I finally gave in and bought one. The OEM costs $60 per sensor which I thought was high so I ordered 4 off ebay for $32 using the gm part number 13598771. Below are all part numbers I found for both metal values and rubber.

ACDelco OEM
Part Number: rubber:13598771 metal:20925924

ACDelco professional
Part Number: rubber:TPMS175K metal:TPMS171K

the professional are more expensive but assume are better quality. I was told I didn't need to reprogram it and proceeded to do a relearn with the DIC (just the car no tool) which didn't work. I needed to go to a tire shop and they reprogrammed it then relearned it which finally worked. Hope this helps someone!

Thanks this helps a lot!.
Some of my valves batteries are dead on my '07, with dash light on.
I called Discount tire wants $60 a piece for a new valve sensor.
However eBay has them for 4 for $30!
Discount said I could bring my own and they would install no extra if purchasing new tires at the same time ($10 extra if keeping the same tires).
So I'll wait till I need new tires, then it's eBay all the way.

I am so glad this helped you!! I had the same price quoted to me! If I were you I would replace more than one at a time like I did. I wound up replacing just one and then had another one go like a few months later! Probably better to replace them all at once and maybe keep the "good" ones for spares. They tend to break these when changing tires (sometimes). Happy to hear the info was useful!

Thanks

Yes I'd replace all with a tire change.

Yes I read they can get broken when the tire bead is broken because they are suppose to first unscrew the valve outside metal sleeve.
I believe this sleeve, if under tightened, is also a possible point of slow tire leaks.
