Did you park it at an incline? That tends to happen when the e-brake isn't set and parked at an incline.

honestly, I wish I had an answer, I have the same car and I hate to hear stuff like this, my car has 56000 on it with really no major problems, but I am the second owner.

this is probably not the answer but there is a power steering recall on these, did you get a recall letter yet?

maybe the bad mounts could be your answer? I wish I knew more, there are a few members here with the 06 3.9 and a few others with the 3.5, hopefully someone can help you. there is a recall though on the power steering cooling lines. here is a link to another member who had a power steering issue. I hope it helps and please keep the forum updated on what you find out, thanks

Since you already know you have bad motor mounts, that COULD be your problem. You could possibly have a bad tranny mount??? Also, are you waiting a second for it to fully engage in reverse or drive before you hit the gas? Sometimes if you throw it in D or R and hit the gas, it will clunk into gear, you need to give it a second to engage. Once you feel that slight bump (not a jolt, just the feel of the tranny engaging), then its in gear, and you should be fine.

If replacing your motor mounts (or tranny mount) does not fix it, and you are giving it a second to engage, then the next thing I would try is dropping the pan, changing the ATF and Filter (be sure to use Dexron VI). At 31K, its about time for a tranny fluid change anyway.

i agre with mamonte on replacing the trans mount as well also droping the pan ans changing the fluid. it will cure it imo but baby it till you have the chance to do every thing.
