2004 Key Fob programing issues
No offense intended David, but did you research that little 'trick' or have you actually done it yourself so you know it will work without damaging the PCM? Personally, I would never suggest jumping any wires on the OBDII connector unless I was positive it wouldn't have the potential to cause damage. Luckily, this 'trick' won't cause damage because in reality you are simply jumping a ground wire to a vacant pin in the plug. Number 4 pinout is ground, and number 8 is not used - it is vacant. So this little 'trick' appears to be just another bogus youtube video.
OP - getting another radio will not resolve your problem. You would have to take the car to the dealer (or shop with Tech II or equivalent scanner) and have the serial number of the radio programmed into the PCM before it would work.
Save yourself some headache and have the FOB programmed by a dealer or shop.

silly me forgot that the radio from ebay would be locked....duh brain fart moment.
I ended up selling it back thru ebay and went to dealer to have them reprogram it for me. took 30 minutes and $50.
