Default 2001 SS Spark Plugs

I have a 2001 Monte Carlo SS with the 3.8Litre engine. I replaced the front plugs and wires but I can't get the rear plugs changed. The location is awful and its hard for me to even get my hand on the wire! Please help if you know an easy way to change these rear plugs!

there is a way to do it with a bunch of extensions , but most shops just disconnect the motor mounts and tip the engine a little, as they usually get about 3 hours labor for the back plugs on the monte, sad, but unfortunatley thats the way it is on these cars

That's what I was guessing to was that you had to roll the engine forward. Typical on FWD V6's

I didn't have to tip the engine forward or use that many extensions. Use a flex head ratchet or a spark plug ratchet and maybe a small extension. They really aren't that bad.

i'm just going by what the customers say they're getting charged

i'm pretty sure that .8 hours isn't enough to do 6 plugs on a monte carlo but i could be wrong. last i heard was the customers were getting charged for 3 hours for the plugs on a monte, i thought it was a lot too, but thats what they said

Hey, Andy...

Could you or anyone else recommend a specific tool for me to do the plugs? Like aspecific Craftsman or Stanley or Snapon tool that I should go and buy. I will be installing the iridium plugs I got from SparkPlugs.com soon and would like all the help I can get.

Thanks, everyone!!

That is the ratchet I used on the back ones, along with a spark plug socket and maybe an extension (not sure which size, maybe 4"?)

Hope that helps.
