2001 ss hicups when driving

Default 2001 ss hicups when driving

I have an issue my 2001 monte ss 3.8 hicups when driving , most of the time it happens when i am cruzin in cruise control it will just cut out but it is very fast and goes right back to normal

Can you give us more information on what's happening or what it feels like? The speeds it's happening, if it's only cruise control? etc. etc.

I was thinking the same thing Becky. Fuel filter or maybe even a coil pack.

Show it some pictures of destroyed engines to give it a little scare?

Oh man, they had a mechanic on Fox News today talking about how they kill them. It was sad.

thanks for all the replies I started off with the fuel filter and problem still there, put new plugs and wires on still there. my wife says it happens both in and out of cruise control. (maybe a coil pack?)
