2000 Monte Blown Engine
I have a chance to buy a 2000 monte carlo LS with a blown engine, I'm curious what a car like this might really be worth? It is going to be a project rear wheel drive drag car, so it needs to be as inexpensive as possible. Thanks for any opinions I can get.

making a fwd into a rwd isnt exactly cheap..! requires ALOT of fab and mechanical work. not to mention it would take alot of time! if you attempt this, my hats off to you! good luck! id love to see pictures and the whole process! cool idea!

What he said lol, you may be able to get the car cheap but the cost of a conversion is going to be expensive. If you're looking for a good Daily Driver then it'd be better. As for a drag car I'd just get a roller if thats what you're looking for. I see tons of 80s Camaro and Monte Carlo rollers on craigslist.

Someone was quoted $12-14k to get their Monte converted to LS4 6-speed.
I'd think around there just to make it RWD with an engine, maybe even more.
You may just want to get something else that's already RWD and put a Monte body on it.
