Post 1995 Monte Oil Light

The low oil light in my 1995 Monte Carlo is always on for some reason even when the oil is perfectly fine. I figure that the oil sensor is bad but before I go buy a new one i wanted to know if any of you knew how to reset the low oil light. I'm hoping I could just reset it and it will stay off unless I really have low oil haha.

-Thanks

Mine comes on cuz I'm actually losing oil but if you know yer not losing oil then don't bother with the oil pump drive o-ring or the rear main seal. 2 common problems with these Monte's... If you know those 2 things are fine then you can try what I do. I always turn my key to the "on" position (but don't start it) before I actually start the car to get fuel runnin cuz my car doesn't like to start if I don't do that. Anywho.... Turn the key to the "on" position, shut if off, then turn it back to the "on" position again. My "Low Oil" light always shuts off when I do that

Disconnecting the battery for a few min, and then reconnecting will clear it...but if there is a problem with the oil being low, or the sensor itself, then the light will come right back on!
