Default 1985 monte carlo power window problems

i have a 1985 monte carlo ss i recently took the drive side door off to put new pins in it. i have hooked up all the wires back up but now neither of the windows will go up or down. i have bought a new motor and hooked the wire into it and still nothing, the new one still did not work. i cannot figure it out, any help please.

assuming the window worked before, I would check the voltage going to the line, and also to the switch. Then follow the wires and make sure everything looks good. Also check the fuse to make sure nothing didn;t blow.

if it all worked before you did the hinges something isn't hooked up right or is making a bad contact i would think some of the wiring harnesses are tucked pretty tightly into the kick panels. if you already gained access to the window motor connector and a test light will light when in place between the two terminals that would indicate a bad motor if it has 12 volts and ground through the connector it has to work. an 85 isn't as complicated as some newer cars its cut and dry power and ground to go down and switch polarity through the switch for back up.
