So today right before work I went to turn off my car. Well little did I know my key didn't want to come out. I tried the normal stuff like jiggling the wheel, starting it again and moving a little, but nothing is working. On top of that, the car doesn't want to come out of park so I had to override it by pushing a button below the shifter to allow me to go into drive (Neutral safety switch). All the problems are still occurring so any thought is much appreciated.

 

Probably the ignition cylinder. I'm impressed you knew about the neutral safety switch, I've had to teach a lot of people on here about it. On my Grand Prix, the slot was clearly visible right next to the shift lever.
