I have an '06 LT that has a peculiar problem: although it starts strong (no lag or struggle on start up) once the engine is up to temp, while driving if I accelerate the headlights and I.P. lights dim and brighten. They go back and forth like this until I get out of the gas and maintain speed again. I have checked all the battery connections for tightness and corrosion and they are fine. Could it be an alternator on the way out or a bad regulator? Any help is appreciated.

 

I would start with the accessory belt, it might be stretched and worn. Then I would check the alt, but if it keeps starting strong, than the alt should be charging enough.
