04 SS Specs
Hey evryone,
Just looking for a good resource on some of the general 04 SS Superchargerd specs.
Im looking for things such as compression, lift/ duration, what type of blower sits on the car, stock boost/ pulley size, and etc...
I couldnt seem to find an all in one resource. Any suggestions wouldbe greatly appriciated.

RE: 04 SS Specs
Stock Compression is 8.5:1. The blower is an M90 Generation III, the lower of the two grades of M90's. Stock boost varies, but it maxes out around 5-7psi. Pulley size is a 3.8" press onl. Stock valvetrain specs:
Duration I/E 182/190
Lift I/E .258/.255
LS 115
IC 111
Rocker Ratio 1.6
Valve Lift I/E .413/.408
Hope that helps.

RE: 04 SS Specs
Final drive ratio on an S/C car is 2.93:1 vs 3.29:1 on a N/A car, also weighs about 150# more, about 3550#.
Premium gas recommended, but it will run on less. But you don't dare get on it!
I run mine on 93 octane.
When I first got mine, I averageged 22.5 mpg for the 1st 1,200 mi. Minor mods, 50 hp later, and I'm up to 26 mpg.

Wild? Read:
New transmission ( $4,000 )
Ported and polished heads with heavy valvesprings, aftermarket rockers, new camshaft ($2,500- $3,500)
Generation V M90 Upgrade or M112 Upgrade ( at least $1,000 after gaskets)
Throttle body (300-500 depending on what you get)
Tuner (499 for VCM Tuner)
Headers (400-900 depending on quality)
Downpipe and highflow cat (150-350 depending on quality)
Catback exhaust (300-1000 depending on quality)
And lots of time..
Those are just some of the most GENERIC mods. Of course you would need larger fuel injectors, along with a good dyno tune, not to mention colder spark plugs, thermostats, etc etc etc.

RE: 04 SS Specs
Your best bet? Start with a full exhaust, then drop spark plug temps, then scan, and after that, throw a 3.4 on there and tune it in real good. AFTER that, if, and when you havent already spent 3000 on your vehicle... and you want to continue, then its time for the camshaft, and eventually ported and polished heads, etc. You want to do this stuff in stages. UNLESS you have lots of money to just throw at a car. But your best bet is to do is slowly, and learn alot about this engine before you start dropping dangerous and powerful mods on your car...

And yes, the GEN V is ESSENTIALLY A direct bolt on item. The L32 LIM will bolt onto the stock L67 Motor.. all you will really need to do is reconfigure a few of the holes such as positive crankshaft ventilation features (PCV) along with a few evap canister mods, and you are basically good to go... You will also have to have an adaptor to throw your stock L67 Throttle body onto your new GenV, but if I were you, I would do ALOT of reading before you attempt that..
Check out ClubGP.com They have alot of pontiac guys that have done the swap, and it's a fairly easy change.. just takes time.
