Default 03 3.8 need to replace freeze plugs

I need to replace the rear freeze plugs. Is it possible to do without pulling out the engine?

I don't think its possible. Ive done one rear knock sensor (which is right between the freeze plugs) in car and it was absolutely brutal with the transmision in the way. And the knock sensor just screws in / out. The freeze plugs are much more difficult to manipulate.

I do think its feasible to get them out, I just dont see how you'd apply the force in the correct direction to get them back in with the transmision in the way.
