02 SS cooling fans not working.
Got problems on my 02 SS. I've searched all the related threads without an answer found yet.
The cooling fans quit working yesterday. I got it home without getting too hot. Last night I went out to try to fix it. I replaced the 3 relays and all the fuses under the hood are good. I tested the new and old relays and all checked out the same, 85 to 86 on old and new relays read approx 90 ohms. No CEL has come on. I have a code reader and did a 'live data' read when the motor got warm. I got the water temp up to 233 and the fans never kicked on. I replaced the thermostat a month ago (I mentioned that to avoid the first 3 replies to this thread )
Is there a thermo switch that can be bad? Fan motors bad?
I have went all over the engine compartment and can't find any bad spots in wires or broken connections.
On a side note, my horn quit working yesterday too. I'm sure it's not related, just weird. The car is in great mechanical shape otherwise. I need to get this thing going, my truck is sucking down the gas while my work car is sitting, hehe.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

When it comes to electronics, you actually have to get your hands dirty and do some testing, it's not a matter of some guy on the internet telling you whats wrong. The first thing you need to do is see if the fans even work. Put 12v power to the plug on the fan itself.

WHen i bought my 01 SS both cooling fans were junk. You need to use a simple test light and be sure there is power at the fans. Or get an extra fan plug and apply power directly to them to seeif they work. I got the new assembly online for $88 shipped. It was 150 plus tax at parts store.
